Leo did another chemo, but seriously, the tick thing is never ending.
It's weird, I'm less concerned about his chemo right now (even though this one is pretty toxic - they have to hook him up to an EKG) but the tick thing is killing me. First, it's my fault - taking them hiking when we didn't have a winter, and not having him frontlined (granted, he can't, but still...). Seriously, they were pretty bad up at Sterling Forest, and I've go to imagine it'll be the same everywhere. Without a good long killing cold, and those things just stick around to do their thing.
Anyway, the last of them has been removed, the apartments are cleaned (seriously, I've not cleaned and sprayed and vacuumed as I have in the past week) and Leo made it through chemo just fine, despite having white feet. Yes, apparently white feet is a genetic marker for susceptibility to the heart condition that this particular chemo doesn't work well with.
The good news is that this is the last one for a little while, and he gets a little more than 2 weeks off. That'll make him happy, and make me happy too. I don't like seeing him at the vet all the time, and it does get expensive.
Speaking of expensive, the pet insurance is starting to pay off, as well. That's a nice thing - granted, we'll quickly max it out, but for now, if it can pay for a few here and there, that makes things a lot easier in the long term. Although I will have to have a job soon...
